thread0 is free to download. It does not resell tokens or add a model markup. Provider subscriptions, charges, terms and limits remain separate.
Installers are code-signed for Windows (MAI DEPOT, Inc) and notarized by Apple. Checksums are published with every release.
thread0 for Windows
The stable installer is available for Windows 10 and 11 x64. The production executable is Authenticode-signed by MAI DEPOT, Inc.
Each new installer needs a few days to build download reputation, so two separate warnings can appear even though the file is Authenticode-signed by MAI DEPOT, Inc. Every screen below has a safe path through:
- Browser download warning (Chrome/Edge: “thread0 Setup … isn’t commonly downloaded”) — open the downloads panel (Ctrl+J), click the ⋯ menu on the file and choose Keep (Korean Windows: 보관/유지). Edge may add one more step: Show more → Keep anyway (자세히 표시 → 무시하고 계속).
- SmartScreen blue screen (“Windows protected your PC” / “Windows의 PC 보호”) — click More info (추가 정보). Check that the publisher line reads MAI DEPOT, Inc, then click Run anyway (실행). If the publisher is anything else, close it and download only from this page.
- Verify the file yourself (optional) — right-click the installer → Properties → Digital Signatures and confirm the signer is MAI DEPOT, Inc, or compare the SHA-512 checksum in SHA512SUMS.txt.
These prompts disappear on their own once the release accumulates reputation with Microsoft. The signature — not the warning — is what tells you the file is genuine.
thread0 for macOS
The stable Apple silicon build is available as a DMG. Open the downloaded image and drag thread0 to Applications. The app is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without security warnings.

Each member signs in directly on that computer; thread0 provides the interface, project and session control, mobile pairing and local security boundaries.
